Recovery Support & Services

Helping you find the right support for lasting recovery.

Recovery often involves more than medical treatment alone.

For many people, long-term stability is strengthened by a combination of physician care, counseling, peer support, family involvement, medication, recovery professionals, spiritual support, and community.

There is no single approach that is right for everyone. Salubre Care can help patients and families identify recovery resources that fit their needs, preferences, location, and treatment goals.

You do not have to know what kind of support you need before reaching out.

More Than One Path to Recovery

Different people connect with different kinds of support.

Some find tremendous value in traditional 12-step programs. Others prefer secular or skills-based approaches. Faith and spiritual community may be central to one person's recovery and less important to another.

Our goal is not to require one particular recovery philosophy. It is to help build a combination of treatment, accountability, connection, and support that strengthens recovery over time.

12-Step Recovery Support

Traditional 12-step fellowships can provide regular meetings, peer connection, sponsorship, accountability, and a community of people with shared experience.

Alcoholics Anonymous (AA)

AA provides peer support for people seeking recovery from alcohol use, with both in-person and virtual meeting options.

Narcotics Anonymous (NA)

NA provides peer support for people seeking recovery from drug addiction, regardless of the particular substance involved, with in-person and virtual meeting options.

Secular Recovery Support

Not everyone connects with a spiritual or 12-step approach.

SMART Recovery offers a secular, skills-based approach focused on behavior change, self-management, personal responsibility, and practical tools for changing addictive or problematic behaviors.

For some patients, this may be a better fit—or one part of a broader recovery plan.

Faith-Based Recovery Support

For some people, faith is an important source of strength, meaning, accountability, and community during recovery.

Celebrate Recovery is one established Christian recovery community. Patients may also find meaningful support through their own church, pastor, spiritual advisor, or faith community.

When faith matters to the individual, Salubre Care can help incorporate appropriate spiritual support into the larger care plan.

Support for Families

Recovery affects families too.

Parents, spouses, partners, siblings, children, and other loved ones may need their own education, support, healthy boundaries, and connection with people who understand what they are experiencing.

Al-Anon is one established resource for people affected by another person's drinking. Other resources may be more appropriate depending on the substance involved, the circumstances, and the needs of the family.

Salubre Care can help families explore those options rather than expecting them to navigate everything alone.

Virtual & Online
Recovery Support

Virtual meetings can make peer support easier to access for people who:

  • Travel frequently
  • Live far from in-person meetings
  • Prefer additional privacy
  • Have demanding work or school schedules
  • Have family responsibilities
  • Need support outside conventional meeting hours
  • Want to explore different recovery communities before choosing one

Many established recovery organizations now offer online or virtual meeting options.

Prefer to Search on
Your Own?

For patients and families who prefer to explore independently, the following organizations offer meeting finders, online meetings, or other recovery-support resources:

  • Alcoholics Anonymous / Meeting Guide
  • Narcotics Anonymous
  • SMART Recovery
  • Celebrate Recovery
  • Al-Anon
  • Online Intergroup of Alcoholics Anonymous
  • Other established virtual recovery communities

These resources are optional. If you would rather have help narrowing the choices, Salubre Care can help.

What If the First Meeting Doesn't Feel Right?

Try another one.

Two meetings within the same organization can feel completely different. Groups may vary in size, age range, format, level of participation, culture, spiritual emphasis, and overall atmosphere.

It is reasonable to try several meetings—or several types of recovery support—before deciding what fits.

One meeting that does not feel right does not mean peer support itself will not be helpful.

Recovery Support Is Part of a Larger Care Plan

Peer-support communities can provide connection, accountability, encouragement, and shared experience, but they do not replace medical or behavioral health treatment when professional care is needed.

Depending on the individual, Salubre Care may combine recovery support with:

  • Physician-led addiction treatment
  • Medication
  • Counseling or psychotherapy
  • Psychiatric care
  • Family involvement
  • Monitoring and testing
  • Care coordination
  • Aftercare and long-term recovery support

For patients transitioning from detoxification, residential treatment, hospitalization, or another intensive level of care, we can also help coordinate what comes next—rather than simply handing the patient a list of recommendations and expecting them to assemble the next phase alone.

Let Us Help You Find the
Right Support

You do not have to search through dozens of programs, meeting directories, and support options by yourself.

Salubre Care can help patients and families identify local and national resources based on:

  • Where you are located
  • Whether you prefer in-person or virtual support
  • Whether you are interested in 12-step, secular, faith-based, family, or another type of support
  • Scheduling needs
  • Privacy considerations
  • Travel
  • Your existing treatment and support system

We can help narrow the options and identify resources that complement the larger care plan.
